Protect the Lemurs
Objective
The Lemur Alliance Foundation is a fictional non-profit organization dedicated to saving lemurs from extinction through conservation initiatives. The goal for this illustration was to create thought provoking imagery of Lemurs as they are threatened with extinction for the organization.

Initial Sketch
For my initial sketch, I had to have a unique perspective that would keep the viewer immersed and entranced. The perspective of the viewer looking up at the lemurs in the tree add a sense of intrusion as the lemurs gaze down with their big eyes. There is sense of repetition added as the lemurs are staggered over each other with also an added depth as the lemurs get smaller the higher up on the tree they are.

Process
My initial composition changed to landscape to fit the billboard size. The colors green chosen are intentional to add that sense of intrusion and fear that lemurs might feel as the viewer gazes up at them. The light illuminates from the viewer as they act as the observer and intruder.
​This illustration uses mood through color and point-of-view to raise awareness of the endangered species and fosters a deeper connection between people and nature.
Final Design
For the final billboard design, I added the logo of the foundation and the slogan, "Protect the Lemurs" to highlight the cause that Lemur Alliance Foundation strives for. The use of orange for the font balances out with the orange used for the lemurs' eyes, making the slogan easily viewable to the viewer.
